The Ministry of Recreation

Mission

The mission of the Kawaiaha‘o Church Ministry of Recreation is to organize and coordinate recreational activities in the life of the church and to organize and coordinate such activities with sister churches.

Purpose

Gather the youth and other members of the church for fellowship and the sharing of Christian Values.

Tournaments

The Ministry of Recreation hosts several volleyball and basketball tournaments each year in June, July and August in which approximately eight churches participate. The tournaments are divided by age into four levels: Men, High School, Intermediate School and Elementary School. The elementary school level is further subdivided into three age brackets.

Weekly Activities

Throughout the year on Sundays, the Ministry of Recreation offers three off-site activities: Soccer, Paddling, and Bowling.
